My husband and I had been talking a long time about where we
wanted to retire and what were the most important features that would
define "ideal" for us. Arriving in Keene, we had a lot of ideas, but
little else. We met Joana on a Sunday at the Century 21 office. She
sat us down in her "lucky" room, looked us over and listened carefully
as we described our ideas.
She started talking about Keene and vicinity. It was obvious she
had a thorough working knowledge of the area and didn't waste our time
trying to talk us into or show us something listed, but which we did
not want. In no time, we had identified several properties, were
going through each by process of elimination, and ended up with one
that met all of our requirements.
Joana assisted us through every step of the purchase process.
She was there to answer questions even after we had returned to our
home in another state. She made sure we understood what we needed to
do and never failed to return our calls. The closing went smoothly
with no hitches and no last minute unprepared ness.
We would unhesitatingly recommend her expert services to anyone.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work during the purchase of our home. The New
England home market is definitely more challenging than the Midwest, but you never failed to consider our wants and needs in a new home.
We really enjoyed working with you as a person. The entire relocation process is extremely stressful, but your candor and sense of fun alleviated some of the more trying parts of moving.
Beyond the traditional home showing part of your job, we were very impressed by your efficiency, professionalism, and availability. We never expected to have so much assistance with arranging the home inspection and the contractors. It was very comforting to know that you were working to help make our move possible when we couldn't be in attendance in Keene.
Your kindness and consideration during this very difficult time cannot be measured. It was extremely hard to manage the buying and selling of homes in two different states especially while we could not be together. We have never met another realtor who make themselves available over a holiday weekend to measure a house or search for us around town to help settle a banking problem prior to closing. You are truly one of the best in your profession.

This is a letter of evaluation for Joana Lee who served as our realtor for the purchase of our first house at our current address. When we first decided to consider looking for a house, I suggested Thackston & Co. Century 21 because I was familiar with the Thackstons from my work at Camp Takodah and because the office was within walking distance from our apartment. We called the office and were put in contact with Joana Lee who we visited later that day. From the beginning she was confident, professional, and enthusiastic in helping us understand the benefits and costs in owning a home.
We started with the intention of just observing and browsing houses for a year as we learned what styles we liked and what costs we could afford. Joana was very helpful in quickly identifying what we were capable of and locating some examples that seemed to fit our preferences. She was supportive of our choices, but careful enough to keep us aware of complications that could arise from house to house.
After losing confidence in our ability to buy because of credit limitations, she directed us to loan officers of numerous banks who might have been able to help us, one of which demonstrated we were more than capable of making payments once we took out a consolidation home equity loan. She maintained her considerable enthusiasm even when ours was flagging, and found our current residence the same week that it was put on the market. Joana made the bidding process smooth and convenient for us and was friendly throughout. We heartily recommend her as a realtor to anyone who is buying for the first time. We hope to remain in contact with her while we live in the area. She cared about us as clients and it showed in her excellent work. We thank her for her great effort and hope others are fortunate enough to work with her in the future.

Joana Lee represented me in both the sale of my home and the purchase of a new home. She expended a tremendous degree of effort in both marketing my home and finding a new home which fit my needs. Joana remained upbeat even in difficult situations, tackled problems that arose head on, shared her expertise with honesty, and always advocated for me as her client. Joana brings a refreshing sense of integrity to a business tainted by reputations earned by lesser real estate agents. She has truly been a pleasure to deal with.

I am so thankful that we met Joana Lee. We moved to New Hampshire from Philadelphia and knew nothing about the area. Joana helped us learn our way around while we looked at potential homes. She even picked me and my kids up from our temporary housing in Vermont just so we could get into a particular house that we thought we should see. She told me of many fun places to take my girls so that we could explore our new surroundings while my husband was at work. When we found the perfect house she was there to help us ateach step along the way.
We really felt she had our
interests in mind. The sellers would not budge on the price. We decided to walk away from the deal. She didn?t pressure us at all to raise our offer. Then she took us to see more houses. Before a week had gone by, the sellers on the house we wanted called her back and accepted our offer. She got us into the house we dreamed of and at the price we wanted. Being new to New England it was very important to work with someone who wanted what was best for us.
I feel we got that from Joana but almost even more importantly I feel like I have gained a great friend. Thanks for everything Joana!!!
